In addition
to countless studio projects that Jon has been involved with over the
years, he has recorded with a wide range of musical greats, including
jazz guitarist Gene Bertoncini, "Girl from Ipanema" Astrud Gilberto, trumpeter
Hannibal Peterson, and blues legends Johnny Guitar Watson and Albert Collins.
His
first major label drumming credit was on the EMI Records release of a
band called "Delight" in 1981. He's also co-produced recordings and played
drums with bassist T.M. Stevens, former Santana drummer Michael Shrieve,
and childrens music performer John
Farrell.
He's also on Farrell's Great
Earth Sing Along video, and his television appearances include
"Jimmy Fink's Sites And Sounds", "The Uncle Floyd Show", and "The Annual
WOR Telethon from Resorts International". Jon can also be heard playing drums on the new self titled
debut CD release by renowned folk-rock artist Bill Bless. In addition, he's played on assorted radio and television
commercials that include Toys 'R Us, Miller Beer, and Levitts Department
Stores.
From 1980-1982, Jon served as a Production Assistant to legendary record
producer John Hammond. (It was during that time Hammond signed Stevie
Ray Vaughan to CBS Records) Since
1987, Jon has also been a Production Coordinator and chief engineer for
Chiaroscuro Records.
